Steyr AUG
Steyr AUG is an austrian assault rifle created in 1977. It's also constructed in "bullpup" system, which I described in post named Famas. AUG is a shortcut : Armee Uniwersal Gewehr, which means in English Army Universal Rifle. The gun is really accurate, so it's considered to be one of the best assault rifles. This ownes mainly by 5,56 NATO bullet. Moreover it applies a transparent magazine, which shooter can check the amount of cartridges at any time.
Bullet : 5,56x 45 mm NATO
Magazine capacity : 30/ 42 bullets

Famas
Famas is a French adaptive combat rifle. It shoots standard NATO cartridge (5,56x45). It's constructed in an unusual but increasingly popular arrangement "bullpup". Bullpup means, that magazine is behind pistol grip and the trigger. On the one hand, it's very comfortable, because it's shorter than classic rifle while maintaining the same length barrel. Moreover, the recoil is less,by placing the flask and the barrel in one line (so accuracy is better).
But form the other hand, changing magazine comes impeded now and aiming line is placed much higher and it is difficult to excel in extreme circumstances (for ex. behind the cover).
But now, Famas and all bullpup system becomes really popular and acceptable by the scorers.
Bullet : 5,56x45 NATO
Magazine : 25/30 (from M16) bullets
Country : France
Inventor : Paul Tellie
In this post I want to open a new thread on this blog about the weapons which are constructed in "bullpup" system. At the same time I want to close the thread about the Glock pistols. I described the most popular models, although there are many more of it, but differ only in caliber or size.

Desert Eagle
Desert Eagle is an american, huge pistol which shoots the revolver cartridge. This is a very unusual weapon because it works on the principle as assault rifles (combustion gases in the chamber). Desert has very strong recoil and low magazine capacity, but big firepower.
Bullet : .357 Magnum/ .44 Magnum/.50 AE (12,7x33 mm = HUGE!!!!)
Magazine : 9 bullets (.357)/8 bullets (.44)/7 bullets (.50)
Country : Israel/ USA
Inventor : Israel Military Industries (I.M.I) and Magnum Research Company
This short video presents how Desert Eagle powerful is (no one was seriously injured while filming). Do not pay attention to the inscriptions on T-shirt, please.

M60
M60 is an american light machine gun used during Vietnam War until today. His advantages are : big caliber (7,62), big, box magazine and ability to shoot, while the barrel is warm to white. But M60 has also a few drawbacks : mechanism used to jammed in jungle or in dirty places (so soldiers used to called this weapon "a pig") and this LMG is really, relly heavy : 10,5 kilos. Another minus is strong recoil, but it's normal, especially of this caliber.
Bullet : 7.62x51 NATO
Magazine : 100 (box mag)
Country : USA

Glock 34
Glock 34 was created for more accurate shooting. As you can see, it's very similar to Glock 17. Bullet wasn't changed, only difference is longer barrel. On the one hand, it is very practical, because the longer barrel improves accuracy, but on the other hand, the gun becomes longer, so it's difficult to quick hide or draw it. Moreover that Glock is really, really ugly...
Bullet : 9x19 Parabellum
Magazine : 17/19 bullets

M249 SAW
M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) was constructed in the mid of seventies by FN Company from Belgium and was named FN Minimi. This weapon is well liked by many countries, especially by USA. American (but very similar) counterpart is called M249 Sqad Automatic Weapon (SAW). The biggest advantage is cartridge, which this machine gun is using. It's 5,56 NATO, which causes less recoil, better rate of fire and less weight than his predecessors (M60 and M240 [7.62 NATO cartridges]). Another advantage is, that M16 rifle and the Minimi are using the same ammunition, so in the absence of a belt of ammunition Minimi can even supply the standard magazines from M16 (prescribed Marines assault rifle is the M16 and light machine gun - M249). Moreover, the M249 is much more lighter than his predecessors (M60 weighs 10 kilos, M240 - 12,5 kilos), because it weighs only 6.85 kilos (it's really not much for a machine gun).
Bullet : 5,56x45 NATO
Magazine : 100/200 (drum mags)/30 (M16 mags)
Country : USA (M249) / Belgium (Minimi)

Glock 26
Glock 26 is the smallest of the family austrian pistols. Guns of this size are easy to hide, for example, under your coat or jacket. It is very convenient for the investigators or the special agents. Glock 26 is shooting classical 9mm Para. Basic version is semi-automatic, but there also exist full-auto version called Glock 26C. Basic version is using short magazine and it has too small capacity for automatic counterpart, so created longer magazine, much more convenient for the automatic fire.
Bullet : 9x19mm Parabellum
Magazine capacity : 12/15/17/33 (for automatic version, used also in G18C)

Glock 19
M16
M16 is an US rifle invented in 1955 by Eugene Stoner. In fact it wasn't made by popular Colt Manufacturing Company, but by american Armalite and called AR-10. This gun is very light, because it weighs only ~3 kilos, so it's small for automatic rifle. For example, loaded AK47 weighs 4,3 kilos and has stronger recoil. The M16 has also innovative (at 50's) Bolt Lock System. It's like in semi-auto pistols - when the last bullet from magazine is shot and when new magazine is introduced, you don't have to pull the handle again, but just push the bolt lock which is located above the slot magazine. It's more comfortable and faster. The M16 has also a characteristic transportation grip, and it's also very comfortable. So, returning to the history of M16, in 1959 Colt Company bought the license of AR-15 (it's lighter and smaller than AR-10) from Armailte. Colt has modificated it a little bit and, in 1960, the series production started. It was used in Vietnam, but it hasn't proved completely, because this rifle has been locked many times in jungle. So Colt improve the internal mechanism, and M16 became a legend and it's still use by the US ARMY.

Glock 18C
Glock 18C is modification of Glock 17. The most important change is the possibilty of shooting full automatic fire. The second amendment is applying the fire mode switch on slide. To Glock 18 fits magazines from Glock 17, but to G18 created a special extended magazines with a capacity of 18 and 33 buletts. Sometimes you can apply flask used to reduce the recoil during shoting fully auto fire.
Bullet : 9x19 mm Parabellum or Luger (it's the same)
